Pathology and food is strange combination.

Gross pathology

• Strawberry gallbladder = cholesterolosis of gallbladder.
• Chocolate cyst = endometriosis.
• Sugar-coated spleen = hyaloserositis of the spleen.
• Apple core lesions = circumferenial gastrointestinal tumour (usually sigmoid colon).
• Nutmeg liver = congested liver.

Microscopic

• Salt-and-pepper chromatin = stippled chromatin (characteristic of neuroendocrine tumours).
