Lacrimal gland

The lacrimal gland is a gland that sits beside the eye. It is similar to minor salivary glands and develops the same tumours.[1]

General

  • Not commonly biopsied - Sjögren's syndrome is typically assessed with a lower lip biopsy.[2]

  • Tubuloacinar gland.

  • Autoimmune disease.

  • SS-A/Ro.
  • SS-B/La.
