Leydig cell hyperplasia

Leydig cell hyperplasia is an uncommon pathology of the testis. It may be seen in the ovary.

General

Gross

  • Unremarkable.

Note:

  • Hypoechoic lesions on ultrasound.[1]

Microscopic

Features:

  • Abundant Leydig cells interspersed between tubules with only Sertoli cells.
