STOMACH, ANTRUM, BIOPSY: - ANTRAL MUCOSA WITH MILD PROMINENCE OF THE LAMINA PROPRIA DUE TO FIBROUS TISSUE, AND G-CELLS, OTHERWISE UNREMARKABLE. - NEGATIVE FOR HELICOBACTER-LIKE ORGANISMS.
Micro
The sections show antral-type gastric mucosa with a mildly expanded lamina propria with increased fibrous tissue and prominent G-cells. There is no significant inflammation. No intestinal metaplasia is seen. There is no significant gland tortuosity. The epithelium matures normally to the surface and is not atypical.
