Chronic granulomatous disease is a (specific) diagnosis (as well as a category). It is disorder of phagocytes and leads to widespread granulomas.[1]
General
- Five different genetic defects have been identified that cause the disease.
- Increase susceptibility to infections.

DDx:
- Crohn's disease - essentially indistinguishable histomorphologically in the GI tract.[2]
