Gastroesophageal junction

The gastroesophageal junction (abbreviated GEJ), also esophagogastric junction (abbreviated EGJ) is definitionally the interface between the stomach and esophagus.

There are various definitions for the GEJ, it is not simply the squamo-columnar junction.[1]
