Pseudophakic bullous keratopathy, abbreviated PBK,[1] a pathology of the eye that may be seen in Descemet's membrane specimens.

General

  • Rare.[2]
  • Complication of cataract surgery.[3]

Clinical:[4]

  • Eye pain.
  • Corneal edema.

Microscopic

Features:[4]

  • Loss of endothelial cells (<600 cells/mm).
  • Scarring (late).
  • Neovascularization (late).

Descemet's Membrane, Right Eye, Excision:
- Descment's membrane with decreased numbers of endothelial cells.
