Standardized uptake value, abbreviated SUV, is a semi-quantitative measure in PET scans.

• The SUV of fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose of the primary tumour is a predictor of lymph node metastases in a multivariate analysis.
  • Cut-off: 9.3.
    • Sensitivity ~75%.
    • Specificity ~54%.
