Pelvic lipomatosis a very rare pathology of the pelvis.
General
- Benign.[1]
- Reported in association with cystitis glandularis.[2]
Treatment:
- Ureteric reimplantation.[3]
- Debulking.[1]
- Cystectomy.[1]
Gross/radiology
- Abundant normal appearing fat ("overgrowth") in the perirectal and perivesicle spaces.[4]
- +/-Hydronephrosis.[5]
Microscopic
Features:
- Mature adipose tissue.[6]
DDx:
- Lipoma - rare.
- Liposarcoma.
