Mesonephric adenocarcinoma is a rare malignant tumour of the uterine cervix.

Microscopic

Features:[1]

  • Nuclear atypia - key feature.
    • Nuclear crowding.
  • Variable architecture:
    • Tubular, papillary, solid, retiform (net-like[2]).

DDx:

IHC

Features:[1]

  • CK7 +ve.
  • CD10 +ve.
  • AMACR +ve.
  • Napsin A +ve.[3]
  • HNF-1beta +ve/-ve.
    • Not useful for differentiation from clear cell carcinoma of the gynecologic tract.[3]

  • CK20 -ve.
  • ER -ve.
  • PR -ve.
  • CEA -ve.
