ABCC2 is an immunostain.
Papillary renal cell carcinoma
ABCC2 staining is predictive of outcome in papillary renal cell carcinoma:
- Brush border staining is associated with a worse survival.[1]
- Brush border staining suggests response to immunotherapy.[2]
Sign out
Positive
ABCC2 brush border staining in the tumour is PRESENT, patchy and estimated as >50%; the presence of significant ABCC2 staining suggests a more aggressive disease.[1] The findings are in keeping with papillary renal cell carcinoma; the diagnosis is not changed. 1. Histopathology. 2023 Dec;83(6):949-958. doi: 10.1111/his.15042.
Negative
Significant ABCC2 brush border staining in the tumour is ABSENT (<50%).
