Epiploic appendagitis is rare condition of the large bowel epiploica that can cause abdominal pain.[1]
General
Epidemiology:
- Obesity
- Male.
- Age: 30s and 40s.
Clinical DDx:[2]
Gross
Features:
- Typically sigmoid colon or transverse colon.
Microscopic
Features:
- Fat necrosis.
- +/-Calcifications.
- +/-Fibrous pseudocapsule.
