DOG1 is a common immunostain classically used to diagnosis gastrointestinal stromal tumour.
Positive
- Gastrointestinal stromal tumour ~ 94% of cases.[1]
- Chromophobe renal cell carcinoma ~ 86% of cases.[2]
- Renal oncocytoma ~100% of cases.[2]
Occasional positive
- Retroperitoneal leiomyoma.[1]
- Peritoneal leiomyomatosis.[1]
- Synovial sarcoma.[1]
Note:
- There are different commercially available clones for DOG1 (DOG1.1 and K9). The sensitivity and specificity are not the same.[3]
