ENDOMETRIUM, CURETTAGE:
- PROLIFERATIVE-TYPE ENDOMETRIUM.
- POLYPOID FRAGMENTS OF BENIGN ENDOCERVICAL MUCOSA.
- FRAGMENTS OF FIBROUS STROMA AND SMOOTH MUSCLE WITH MINIMAL EPITHELIUM, SEE COMMENT.
- NO EVIDENCE OF HYPERPLASIA.
COMMENT:
The fibrous stroma present is a component of the endocervix or alternatively part of an
endometrial polyp. The smooth muscle is from the uterine wall or may represent a component
of a pedunculated leiomyoma.

Menstrual

ENDOMETRIUM, BIOPSY:
- STRIPPED WEAKLY PROLIFERATIVE ENDOMETRIAL GLANDS AND SCANT FRAGMENTED
  NONPROLIFERATIVE ENDOMETRIUM.
- BALLS OF CONDENSED ENDOMETRIAL STROMA.
- INFILTRATING NEUTROPHILS AND ABUNDANT BLOOD.
- SCANT STRIPPED ENDOCERVICAL EPITHELIUM WITHOUT APPARENT PATHOLOGY.
- NO EVIDENCE OF HYPERPLASIA.

COMMENT:
The findings are consistent with menstrual endometrium.
