Lytic metastasis refers the imaging appearance of metastatic disease. It is differentiated from sclerotic metastasis.
Lytic metastases are more common that sclerotic metastasis.[1]
Common lytic metastases include:
- Lung cancer.
- Melanoma.
- Renal cancer.
- Thyroid cancer.
