Skeletal muscle is a type of striated muscle under voluntary control.
General
- Common incidental finding on biopsies and resections.
Microscopic
Features:
- Striations - key feature.
- May be difficult to appreciate.
- Peripheral nuclei.
DDx:
- Colloid - especially on cytology.
