Squamous metaplasia of the anus is a metaplastic change of the columnar epithelium. It can histologically mimic anal intraepithelial neoplasia (AIN), especially. high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL).

- Usually weak-to-moderate patchy, not full thickness.
- Ki-67 - scattered cells positive.
