Pleural effusion is accumulation of fluid within the potential space around the lung. It has a longer differential diagnosis.[1]

- Malignancy.
- Lung adenocarcinoma.
- Lung metastasis.
- Renal cell carcinoma.[2]
- Liver cirrhosis.[3]
