The halo nevus is a melanocytic lesion with a particular clinical appearance.

Clinical

  • Central zone of pigment.

Microscopic

Features:

  • Epidermal melanocytes not nested.
    • May have dermal and/or epidermal component.
  • Central zone of pigment.
  • Lymphocytes at perimeter of lesion.
