Hemophagocytic syndrome, also known as hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, is a rare condition often associated with viral infections.
Clinical

- Fever.
- Splenomegaly.
- Jaundice.
Associations:
- HIV/AIDS.
- EBV.
Microscopic

- Macrophages with phagocytosed:
- Erythrocytes.
- Leukocytes.
- Platelets.
