Carcinosarcoma is a tumour with a malignant epithelial and a malignant mesenchymal component, based on histomorphology.
They can arise in a number of sites:
- Uterine carcinosarcoma (most common).
- Ovarian carcinosarcoma.
- Fallopian tube carcinosarcoma.
