Tumour perforation in colorectal cancer is the conjunction of intestinal perforation and colorectal tumour.

Based on Banaszkiewicz et al. it is a clinical diagnosis;[1] the perforation site does not need to be at the anatomical site of the tumour.

General

  • Poor prognosticator.[2]
  • Does not affect the stage; however, it been suggested that perforated colorectal carcinoma be considered stage IV.[3]
