LM DDx in situ adenocarcinoma of the urinary bladder, adenocarcinoma of the urinary bladder, metastatic adenocarcinoma
IHC CK20 +ve, CDX2 +ve, CK7 -ve, GATA3 -ve
Site urinary tract - urinary bladder, ureter, renal pelvis

Prevalence uncommon
Prognosis benign

Tubular adenoma of the urinary tract is a very rare lesion of the urinary tract that looks like a tubular adenoma of the gastrointestinal tract.[1]

General

  • Very rare.

Note:

  • Villous adenoma of the urinary tract[2][3] and tubulovillous adenoma of the urinary tract[4] are also reported.

Microscopic

Features:

  • Glands with pseudostratified hyperchromatic nuclei without maturation to the surface.
