EBV in colonic stromal cells
The EBV immunostain marks rare stromal cells; no staining of epithelial cells is seen. There is no evidence of an EBV-associated colitis. The findings suggest there is a latent EBV infection; correlation with EBV serology is suggested, if the status is unknown. There are no findings to suggest a lymphoproliferative disorder.
