Atropic testis

Microscopic

The sections show vas deferens, skeletal muscle and fibrotic tissue with dystrophic calcification, hemosiderin-laden macrophages and tortuous blood vessels reminiscent of the peri-testicular spermatic cord. No definite seminiferous tubules are identified. There is no evidence of neoplasia or a pre-neoplastic change.

Final diagnosis

Soft tissue, region of left ("atrophic") testis, excision - i) vas deferens identified ii) no testicular tissue
