Clinical history of spermatocele
Submitted as "Left Spermatocele Sac", Excision:
- Compatible with a cyst wall lined by simple columnar epithelium.
- NEGATIVE for malignancy.
Micro
The sections show fibrous connective tissue lined by a benign cuboidal epithelium; this is in keeping with a cyst wall.
No apparent sperm or significant inflammation is present. The sections are NEGATIVE for cytologic atypia and NEGATIVE for apparent proliferation.
