Comment on adenocarcinoma in context of prior CRC
The diagnosis of enteric adenocarcinoma is reserved for cases that have no past history of colorectal carcinoma. There are no morphological or immunohistochemical differences between pulmonary adenocarcinoma with enteric differentiation and metastatic colorectal carcinoma. This distinction is made on the basis of clinical history.
