Splenogonadal fusion is rare congenital pathology in which splenic tissue is fused to a gonad (testis or ovary).

Testicular-splenic fusion (abbreviated TSF) and spleno-ovarian fusion[1] redirect here.

General

  • May mimic a testicular tumour.[2]
  • Usually diagnosed by pathology.[3]

Subclassification:[4]

  • Continuous - attached to orthotopic spleen.
  • Discontinuous - no attachment to orthotopic spleen.

Gross

  • Mass lesion.
