A polypectomy scar results from a polypectomy.

General

  • Scar alone is difficult to differentiate from scar with cancer.[1]

Microscopic

Features:

  • Focal submucosal fibrosis.

DDx:

  • Polypectomy scar with adenocarcinoma.
