A polypectomy scar results from a polypectomy.
General
- Scar alone is difficult to differentiate from scar with cancer.[1]
Microscopic
Features:
- Focal submucosal fibrosis.
DDx:
- Polypectomy scar with adenocarcinoma.
- Focal fibrosis due to other cause.
