The images on Libre Pathology did a temporary disappearing act on the August 27th. Why is not yet completely understood.

Preceding said, it is worth talking about how the images on Libre Pathology. The images come from the WikiMedia Commons (abbreviated WC).

Now, WikiMedia (formally WikiMedia Foundation - abbreviated WMF) is the organization that runs Wikipedia and the WikiMedia Commons (also WikiCommons) is the repository for all the different Wikipedias and Wiki projects of the WMF.

We use the WC as the images are free (libre) and often reasonable quality. One of us (being active on the WC and Wikipedia) uploaded a good number of them. If you want to help-out and have money to spare, feel free to send money to the good folks at the WikiMedia Foundation -- and mention Libre Pathology.
