High-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia-like ductal adenocarcinoma of the prostate

High-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia-like ductal adenocarcinoma of the prostate, abbreviated PIN-like adenocarcinoma, is an uncommon type of prostate cancer that histomorphologically mimics high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (HGPIN).

Microscopic

Features:[1][3]

  • Columnar cells with pseudostratified nuclei.
    • Non-columnar cells with round nuclei also described.
  • Simple glands: flat, tufted or micropapillary.
