Contact dermatitis, also allergic contact dermatitis (abbreviated ACD), is a common inflammatory skin disorder in the spongiotic dermatitides group.

- Clinical diagnosis - dependent on clinical exam and history.

- Lesions only where in contact with causative agent - key feature.
- Erythema.
- Vesicles.
Microscopic
Features:
- Spongiotic dermatitis.
DDx:
- Other spongiotic dermatitides.
