CD56 is a commonly available immunostain that is seen in a number of tumours. It is a sensitive marker of neuroendocrine differentiation.

- Extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type.
- Hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma.
- Plasma cell myeloma

Occasionally positive
- Renal cell carcinoma ~18% of cases.[4]
